USB is all very well, but what would be cool is an Ethernet version that works at 10/100/1000, doesn't require drivers - and can protect all the machines I have on my home network, not just one PC.
Drivers are so passé for stuff like this - Ethernet is an open standard, and works on any platform. It's also far less CPU-hungry than USB, as a lot of operations are accelerated by the average network card.

What if someone walks off with the USB key? You better have a doberman guarding it. The idea sounds great but you need something in vitro.

Just got to www.yoggie.com and find the Gatekeeper as you described - 2 Network ports.
