Dell eyes up service companies
Michael Dell says his company needs to buy service companies to improve on growth.
The direct seller has already said it needs to make big changes in strategy, and has started talking about increasing indirect sales through the channel. Adding services is another Damascene conversion.

Correction to your closing paragraph on this article. My recollection is that HP did not buy PriceWaterHouseCoppers Consulting, rather they spent their money on Compaq. By 2002, PriceWaterHouseCoopers Consulting was called PwC Consulting, and was bought by IBM in the latter half of the year.
