    Recall costs will be limited because...

    To date companies seem to think that once they've issued the press release, and dealt with the handful of returns they get in the initial flurry, that's it - job done!

    Public safety is at risk and these companies must do more to alert end-users of the potential risk in the way of advertising and publicity.

    I discovered only YESTERDAY that my Tosh was covered by the 2006 recall despite reading the reg most days (except when travelling on business). Toshiba website has WITHDRAWN their tool to detect which batteries are flawed because the scheme has ended.
