How long?

Just wondering how long the affected pages were accessible to the public. They say "an extremely small percentage of those using the site this week were potentially exposed prior to those pages being cleaned." but then most of us realise that a great proportion of users ignore the updates, or rather don't download them. While antivirus coverage has improved, there are still a hell of a lot of unprotected machines out there.
