It's a good thing that consumers don't trust to use their credit card online. Maybe then they'll stop clicking those links in the messages they get via e-mail and 'confirming their bank details' for that nice site at www.bankhack.info that uses the natwest logo at the top of the page.

Consumers should be doing more to protect themselves online?
I'm not sure what else my bank can do other than ask for a customer number, my DOB, and a couple of digits of my security number, perhaps a password too? And then a secuity question? Please don't, I don't want to spend 10 minutes logging in to check my bank, it'll be quicker to go to the cash point, and that defies the point of online banking.
I'm sick of people saying that it the companies responsibilty to make sure everything is secure. It's not their fault that you browse dodgy porn sites and get infected with all manner of malware.

I bet the government's ranking has taken a nosedive this week! I wouldn't trust the fucking civil service with any information whatsoever - my personal data would be handled more securely by our Nigerian mates.

to transfer the information it would have gotten there instead they used fly by night courier it's scarcely perfect but it's not bad compared to unencrypted CD. Oh scratch that they would screw that up too. No people are skittish with pretty good reason surprises me they were that sensible people must be getting better informed. Run for the hills their on to us.
