Software sting guy? #
I assume by "stings" you meant "stints", rather than he spent some time stinging customers at McData and Verio? ;)
So, he knows a bit about storage, system management (he was CEO at Xiotech for a spell), networking and software - definately not an old-school Solaris-on-SPARC guy then. In fact, very un-Sun! Blimey! Next they'll hire someone from Microsoft....
