Spring Cleaning.....

Which all sounds like a Valuable Service Generating Cash Flow ....... a little something the Banks are Failing at. And all it took was a Beta Imagination.

I wonder where you can Buy IT? Or is IT Sold?

Phishing yes, money laundering no

Online gambling sites are a horrible way to launder money - the sites take a rake plus have sophisticated logging and anti-fraud tools, so it's expensive and there's a risk of having your entire deposit confiscated for good.

@ Simon

Money laundering costs money no matter what way they do it.

One of the key signs front line staff are taught to look for in money launderers is a willingness to have lots of expensive transactions (layering). Money launderers are often believed to settle for 50% "clean" money as opposed to 100% unusable "dirty" money.

Can't comment on the logging and anti-fraud tools used by the sites, but as a step in a complicated layering project I don't think they would worry too much. After all, the banks have logging and anti-fraud measures galore but they are heavily (albeit unwillingly) involved in a lot of money laundering.

Barry,

Banks know that they are involved in all money laundering. Albeit unwillingly but not unwittingly and it may very well be accepted that it is necessary/absolutely vital for stability.

And if that be the case, then they could probably tailor their services better to help/mainstream/edutain customers/shareholders/note holders ...... or do they just tend to ignore or prefer to be perceived to ignore its Revenue Streams/Sources.

Yet another reason online gambling is silly

Might as well be banned. Can't trust the game, can't trust the bank.

Well to me gambling IS throwing your money at some nameless phisher ( casino) anyway.. So the difference is the money leaves the country earlier LOL

Oh don't tell me the odds in a Casino are in favour of the gambler - my mistake!

Casino = phish pharm = no difference
