I hope that HP-EDS paid you a lot of cash for this one.

Sad, really.

""It is very, very challenging for customers," admits Deborah Nelson, senior vice president for marketing at HP's Technology Solutions Group, which is responsible for peddling servers, storage, software, and services. (Basically, everything HP does except PCs and printers and a smattering of financing).""

How the mighty have fallen ... From top of the line instrumentation, to bog-standard storage.

"CIOs are being asked to conserve cash, manage costs, and still deliver better technology."

CIOs in Fortune 500s are, in my estimation, mostly useless ... and part of the reason that HP products are now part of the commodity market.

well done..........

Two pages of el Reg devoted to stating the bleeding Obvious! Still, look on the bright side HP have managed to run a survey that shows they agree with the rest of the industry.
