No Solaris
Notice how Solaris is conspicuously absent from that list of supported operating systems. Maybe they should hold off on AIX too and wait for the new SolArix.
Fibre Channel's replacement by Ethernet came a step closer with QLogic's introduction of the single chip 8100 Series integrated converged network adapter (CNA), joining Emulex' OneConnect product. QLogic's 8100 has a single ASIC containing the processor, its memory and the SerDes. It supports Ethernet connectivity, TCOP/IP, …
They've qualified for connectivity as have EMC that doesn't mean shipping and why would you buy when the infrastructure isn't really available to support this.
Single pool of disks ? that's unless you happen to need high availability, in which case you'll need 2 filers clustered and two pools, unless you want to run active / passive. But then again Ontap is only psuedo active / active anyway since each filer only has exclusive access to it's own pool, which means two points of management and potentially wasted capacity.
