    Still don't get it...

    Ok...it takes 7 watts to keep the one of Copan's 3.5" disks spinning. But it only takes 0.8w to keep a laptop disk (including the new 1TB laptop disks) spinning.

    What sense does it make to pay for MAID to managing spinning-disk related power consumption when all you have to do is substitute laptop disks and achieve far greater power savings — and never have to spin down?
