    Is this really only about AMD?

    The tech press is often harping on about the damage Intel did to AMD by blocking their uptake with OEMs. I question however if they were the only victims. The netbook phenomenon could well have happened 5 years earlier with Via chips, had that company's rather excellent gear not been brushed under the carpet.

    I haven't followed the proceedings in S.K. Japan or the E.U. very well....have any of the other x86 vendors been mentioned? (Transmeta?)
