Some new booters have rendered the YAHOO! chatrooms almost completely useless.
As soon as the booter runs, nothing works in the rooms except voice.
Complaints on their blog are simply deleted, as if somehow that makes the problem go away.
I have been a YAHOO! fanboi forever, but maybe it is time for some professionals to come along.
You haven't used Webex then, piss poor, excuse of a collaboration software. Its too slow and incumbersome. In a world where Cisco points to us saying that everything should be instant etc Webex just feels too buggy. For example when you pass the ball over for someone else to present it takes far too long. The teleconference software always sounds like its coming from a PBX from the set of Wall Street even tho you have a new Cisco UC phone.
And the messenger AIM software is based on AOL coding, so in Europe where everyone use MSN its pointless.

While the "high cost" piece is debatable (depends on the discount you receive I suppose) the "private, proprietary" network but is twaddle. Cisco Telepresence is just IP and uses the standard network as long as QoS is set up right. While partners may sell managed services using private networks, you don't have to buy these and there definitely no use of "proprietary" networks.
