Chris postulates that Cisco may be in the market for a storage vendor of some kind in the future and there is nothing to suggest he is wrong. However, it has to be pointed out that Cisco also never go into "partnership" without it heavily favouring themselves. Tasman Drive is a one way street with everything ending up in their gaping maw. Let them buy some half baked storage provider and then they will have successfully alienated every single major "partner" that they ever had; the only winner will ultimately be the consumer as Cisco find themselves marginalised at every turn by every other vendor and the unbelieveable margins they achieve for (at best) average products will soon be a matter of historical record.
