As for the root kit thing, yes that was bad. Tell me: Do you automatically wish bankruptcy on any company that introduces security problems? If so, you must already have wished bankruptcy on Apple, Microsoft and all the various Linux vendors. All of whom have released software that is found to have at least one security bug.
Given the choice between a medium that allows me to listen to music in any quality I want, and only costs a little more than the average digital download service, which is generally restricted to providing mp3 or mp4s at 128K, 256K or 320K, then I will pay the extra couple of pounds.
