    Oracle and all flash

Oracle can't afford to go to all flash and keep a serious capacity. Which they need something, I stood behind one and the amount of heat was hilarious.

    um...yay?

personally i think this is great news, perhaps now that SSD's will eb made and used in much larger amount the prices will finally start falling making them more accessable to the average consumer.

its only ever when big business makes moves like these that prices ever drop for the mainstream.

Reverse is equally, if not more, true.

Eg: x86 walks all over itanium because the consumers use x86, the R&D (& a few other) cost is subsidized. Similarly flash started with consumers and when smartphones, airbooks and other flash oriented storage made the technology reliable & cheap enough, enterprise entered the market.

    Which Flash?

Yeah, but the pictured superhero in the front page link has a "f" logo on his chest.

It's the logo of Flash. The animation web thingy, not the memory technology.

    Wrong sort of Flash?
