    Although ebuyer for instants (Other HD sellers available although not many display actual drives atm) appear to have raised prices I noticed several NAS devices from Zyxel with 2TB WD drives were still £120 compared to £200 for the same drive sold by itself.

    So if you look hard enough you can get lower prices.

    Proportion? More info needed.

    "raising monthly build rates from 15 million to 25 million units" which begs the questions:

    1. What is the total world usage per month"

    2. How many a month were the now non operating factories making?

    Without that information the numbers quoted have no meaning.
