    Containerized clouds

I suspect the pace of migration to ODM-supplied servers will accelerate even more than stated. ODMs and large integrators are behind the power-curve on containers design and integration, but that problem will get fixed. That will remove an advantage Dell, HP, Cisco and IBM have in their 'complete package' approach to infrastructure delivery, at which point they will face stiff pricing and response time/flexibility pressure.

The same will happen in the storage space where the point of resistance is the complex software offered by NetApp and EMC (on essentially commodity hardware.) Deals like Huawei-Symantec and the availability of open-source stacks will create pressure in storage too.

It will be interesting to see the current giants fend off the upstarts!
