    HP Storage ROCKS!!!!

The days of quarterly decline will soon be behind us and the dawn is about to break. The HP Storage R&D labs are really exciting places to be in currently and customers will take to the products being developed.

    Engr @HP Storage.

HP 3Par has a great line up of products that are perfectly target to solve customer problems.

One of the difficulties for all of the Storage Vendors is the arrival of Object Storage which rides on super low cost commodity servers and drives. 65% of the hardware cost is in the drives. Depending on the white box server or Brand on the outside the drives are made by Seagate or some other major HDD company.

Who needs to buy HDD's from Dell, Cisco, HP or others when the mark up is all you are getting.

Imagine spending $500K. With conventional Storage, quasi Object Storage, you get 500TB of manageable, reliable storage with some room to grow.

With Object Storage you will get for the same $500K, 2 PB or 4X the density, much higher reliability and a seamless growth curve to hundreds of PB's.
