    Skills gap?

    Theres no shortage of skill as far as I can tell...its more like a reward gap.

    I know quite a few techies that have either moved away from major cities or left the country because they cant afford to work in this industry over here.

    The money in IT is pretty shabby at the moment no matter what role you're in.

    Mind you, I survived the recession...only just...because I simply took on more work. At lower rates though, as a result quality is suffering a little.

    Id love to be able to hire some people but all the engineers I know want at least 30 quid an hour. Thats more than I charge per hour in most cases.
