    Pretty simple really

    JIT as applied to computing. When the supplier knows the consumer's requirements ahead of time, planning can result in significant savings for both parties. What's really interesting is having this kind of data and being able to predict what cloud-bursting will cost per unit. That's data you really can use and present to the CFO when called for by another department's plans.
