    You couldn't make this up: "Our Marketing Applications team has made great progress this year, and has market leading solutions … We are therefore selling our Marketing Applications business.”

    There is only one 'r' in Teradata, not two as in the revenue/profit graphic. Still, better than Terrordata.

    Teradata in the cloud or as software only may happen early 2016, but that won't be the multi-node MPP version. The single node version, whilst parallel, offers little to distinguish it from any other DBMS. Premium pricing for non-MPP versions won't be easy.

    If Teradata hadn't given Yahoo such as big quote for a system 'back in the day' maybe they wouldn't have led the charge to develop Hadoop, which has since eaten Teradata's lunch. The irony...
