    Sigh.

    Not even BT's press team can use English correctly anymore...

    It can't be "If and when required", it can be "if required" or "as and when required"

      As far as I can make out he's over the BT retirement age anyway. I doubt that's forced on execs but once you realise you don't have to drag into work every day why bother?

      Or really, really expecting Ofcom to rip out the infrastructure side and not wanting to have to deal with that train wreck. Forced divestments are usually quite ugly.
