      if it ends up costing them lots then there'll be reorg and the expense will be buried. Often by moving the R&D budget around so we'll see.

    May well become clearer to those that bite, given time...

    MS need to get their act together on activation issues as they are seriously affecting the ability of genuine users trying to legitimately use their software.

    MS is desperate to avoid wiping more egg off its face following years of Cloud hype...year end incentives like this simply hasten mis-selling from resellers whom will not sell software to clients that they actually need.
