    Bah!

    Thanks to the typeface El Reg defaults to in m'browser, every time they write "Ay Eye" I read it as "AL".

    I sat for a good few seconds trying to get the earworm "Practical AL" out of my head.

    Typeface designers! It's stupid and lazy to use the same glyph for cap i and lower case L!

    also:

    Computer software manufacturers! Stop repurposing well-known acronyms for new and unrelated uses!

    (Yes I know it's not a proper acronym.)
