    email disclaimers

Having used products like OpenXchange and Scalix, we added the disclaimer as it pasted through MessageLabs filtering service. However the most effective spam filtering method was configuring Sendmail to reverse DNS lookup the email servers identity, unfortunately it also blocked email servers from small businesses using a DHCP adsl connection as they never configured the reverse ip lookup.

The disclaimer components may not have been tested in court yet, but that's not the only purpose of these signatures - see http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/12/21/new_web_email_regulation/ for details. Exchange 2003 is supposed to support the use of an event sink to add these, but it's never worked in our setup, so we use Symprex Mail Signature Manager instead. Ragging on Zimbra for not having it built-in seems a wee bit harsh.
