    Bad idea

First time you get a power surge, all that will be left of this thing is a couple of burning tyre tracks on your desk.

    Sounds almost right....

...all they need to do is ask for goverment cash, make it so it breaks down every 5 mins and generally be utter shit and they almost are there. They just need to run of with the cash and all will be sorted.

      Seagate and InvestNI

Seagate are halfway there already with their Northern Ireland plant shedding jobs over the years after InvestNI government grants...

      (cf. DeLorean Dunmurry plant....)

      You've driven one too?

      Nuff said.

After years of wanting one and then finally getting one I discover to my horror I'd get the same handling and performance for less money by importing a Routemaster bus into Canada.

    Back to the future!?

So, does it come with "Back To The Future" data restoration capabilities as well? IE, can it restore data that I haven't created yet? :-) Now, that would be a treat!

    Of course,

if you spin the platters up to 8800rpm you can retrieve that file you accidentally deleted. Except that your USB connection has to deliver 1.2GW.

Well, you are not buying it for the storage, exactly...

... You are more buying it for the value as a collector's item.

I've already ordered one next week

Apparently it's ready for pickup last Tuesday, I received the confirmation on early next year.

Oh, wait. Or was it the other way around?

    P.S.

What would happen if Doc Brown bumped into Dr Who?

Maybe they can set up a race and whoever starts first... wins :-)

Just how is it the most expensive?

I've seen on sale iPods with a 1.8" 16GB drive on-board costing $50,000 (£32,000) because it's covered with gold and real diamonds.

    That's a mere £2000 per GB.

and I've no doubt it's not the most expensive in the world...
