You never hear of him like ever and in 2 weeks his name has popped up twice now!
Sitting after work minding own business one evening, flicked mancave Tv on and it was on BBC Parliament (no idea either!)
so some debate going on about Medicinal Cannabis and i spotted the MP talking, a Mr Crispin Blunt!
I mean who would expect an MP to have the name of the way stoners prefer their fare, crisp n blunt!
Once id wiped TV free of Coffee and spittal from laughing my arse off, i had to get a pic :)
no, but actually making backups of your own files regularly would have made this a nonstarter? Oh "shock horror" doing a quick sync/backup before updating?
Silly idea I know....to confirm your C drive is not a backup location ;) its safer to trust MS not deleting YOUR files?
now that we know they are happy to take the 30% hit via apple store, what the F gives with this twat having a beef with google taking a 30% cut in their play store?
The man seems an asshat and full of his own self importance to me, well done Epic youve had a best seller after all these years, Bravo, now stop being a dick.
lol you remind me of a skype for business message hastily typed on my work iphone to our T2 helpdeskers needing my intervention (im a T4 clown), guy called Mike, Mikey to his mates, bloody iphone n fat fingers changed Mikey to Monkey.............didnt spot it until after send....DOH
Now while im a jock and like a laugh (im abusive to workmates i like and respect), wasnt sure how my stateside brethren would, but he was cool with it....(jesus H thank F, "Hey Monkey, Do this!")
thankfully we are good mates and he saw the ironic funny side to the whole stupid Tiered engineer thing.
We have a rule, if IT find your machine unlocked, be warned!
my fav is always to open start menu, take screenshot with it open and make the default desktop, when the ticket comes in to say my windows start menu is screwed, they are ridiculed then informed its fine, you just crossed the path of local IT.
after 3 strikes its not so funny anymore and becomes an HR issue ;o) we are hard...but fair.
in our test system on our ERP solution, we simply make the users as made up names, and ensure that live users accounts are denied access to the Test Dbs and subsystems, to counter end user stupidity.
My favourites have to be Test McTesty (mine) and Tony Fitzpatrik and Patrik Fitztony, we also have Errol Flynn & Kenny Adabanjo, got to keep yourself grinning somehow in a test env right? I wanted Pat McGroin but boss thought that was pushing it a bit (boo!)
ofc Ive reused this idea on our local domain, a Mr Test McTesty as my auth AD sys test user.....all good and well until trying to explain to our US owners why.......just no sense of fun those yanks :) they wanted it changed to my normal name but with test added to my surname....doh thats boring!
AC lol just lol, I have a LG G3 which was a flagship, it received one update in its entire life (to
marshmallow)
1) it was an LG flagship
2) its not cheap shite
Last update post 6.0 was dated 2016-08-01 for 1 security fix patch.
Sorry to burst your bubble.
This kind of issue is the biggest flaw in android, the more popular and fragmented it becomes, the bigger the issue.
I have no pity or feel anything for this bellend.
He knew what he was doing he was a system Admin, to say he was a bumbling amatuer at hacking is complete tosh....I heard a radio interview with this bellend a month or two back and he was actually complaining because of all the publicity he couldnt get another job in IT......err sorry you tool but that wasnt because of all the bad press, no-one could trust you, you twat!
the other reason he gave in the interview was that he was looking for ufo evidence as this "should" be for all worldwide......sorry when did you become Fox mulder McKinnon????? That makes it ALL allright then...........
Hypothetically if someone orchestrated a contract killing from the UK to say a US citizen located in the US at the time of the killing....where would he be trialled.....yup you guessed it US of A, this is not any different, the criminal act of circumventing protection (even if there is none) the PCs without permission is a criminal act and one that a so called "system-admin" would know exactly what he was doing!
He knew exactly what he was doing, was even handed a mickey mouse trial/sentence chance in the US and the chutney ferret turned it down.
Get read for Bubba, Gary, your his little puppy now!
To the posters saying why are we bending over and taking uncle sams beef jerky? Err you ever seen JUST how much £ we owe the US of A for their "help" in WWI and WW2? Think of them like your mean big brother, you know him, the guy who defends you against those little twits at school, then on the way home he demands your Texan bar and tomorrows dinner money cos he "helped" your sorry ass!!
We have a 24" chinese made generic tft, it went pop after 3 days. So I get warranty bumf out to call for an RMA. The number listed on the documentation has the following 8GPB/min.....yes £8 a minute!!!!!!
turns out the support contractor is in Holland...but even though £8 a minute!!!
This has to be a record!
thank god for the web page for submitting RMAs is available, downright scandalous companies can charge you for calling regarding THEIR faulty goods!!
Mines the coat with the bottomless pockets......
rolled back and installed XP on a number of M-1330s and have had a few little zaps in the process.
end users that get them are gits anyway :P so im saying nothing......
@Sarah Millin
for the M-1530/1330 try the US dell site, after speaking to Dell UK about rolling back I got "its not supported" so I googled it myself.
the only thing to keep in mind is before installing xp do the following:
Disable the cacheram device and change the Sata drive to Base mode.
(the AHCI mode would work if you can find AHCI drivers for the system that work in XP, I gave up.)
Apart from that XP runs a dream on the systems.
Dell US have the HD audio drivers & the 8400GS drivers that work flawlessly in XP. UK dell hadnt a clue! If you cant find the 8400 drivers jot down the name of the device in bios and google it, there are working links!
I read the article and opened Bthome hub manager........to be greeted with entering the serial number of the box and to set a new password.
Is it me or is this awfully co-incidental...........could swear I was in the web ui yesterday or sunday with no prompts like this lol
Bt reports no such flaw and I check firmware to see it updated itself............spooky!
@Webcrawler2050
Of course there are no viruses, malware or spyware for a MAC as you put it.....why the flip would a Migratory Account Code be liable for viruses.........
An Apple Mac on the other hand DO have worms and malware, they just arnt anywhere near prevelant due to Apples small worlwide market share buddy, mark my words if Mac ever get as big as Windoze, it would have just as many nasties. Think like a Vxz writer or malware muppet....hmm code an exploit for 3% of worldwide share of 97% hmm maximum damage minimum effort.....To think otherwise is a narrow minded and ignorant assumption sir.
The Dell guy should be commended for giving open and unbiased advice to begin with............
@Rich
take your pick matey

An old college mate of mine who completed his HND in IT Support applied for a job with PC World at the local store (he was desperate to get into IT)
They were advertising for a position of service technician back before the "tech guys" when they were "Intel" approved.....??? (Im Dyson approved....holds as much clout)
He wasnt even interviewed due to him being "Overqualified" says it all really.....
Anytime Im passing PCW I like to go in and watch the salesmen/women talk total drivel to the gormless customers who havnt a clue...when they leave the customer to check availability (in reality I think they run off to the back store to say "HAHAHA Look what I have this old duffer sucked into buying!!!") half the time I approach the customer to say btw buddy hes/she is talking total bollocks and try to assist them.....then leg it before they return :o)
I see it as a good turn to the masses of non techies....
