I WANT MY FRIKKIN 100Kw LASER, DAMMIT!

Actually, I want 10 of them to build a 1Mw super laser, and use it to launch payloads into space.

There's just that pesky problem of frying if you don't get it jusst right...

Or alternately hook a 1Mw laser up to an orbiting nuclear plant (Solar is for sissies, after all) and shoot oncoming Comets (or Death Stars, or Vogon Constructor Fleets).

My tax money well spent, that is...

In Police launch hunt for bogus bobbies

As someone who grew up in said police state, with British Rifles pointing at me every day on the way to and from school I can confirm that N.Ireland was a police state- . though I have been pleasantly surprised at the changes wrought in the past 28 years.

As for the wrong continent- I prefer to think that I am now on the right continent, being now a resident of the Great State of Texas. Over here, Gun Control means hitting your target.
