Lucky sods; I'm lucky to get 64kb/s (yes, that's kiloBITS) on Virgin (ex-NTL).
I spend at least 6 hours a day reading El Reg, but alas, my time is worthless!
"Buffy" mastermind?
Firefly > Buffy
That is all.
Where is the shining wit of the El Reg hacks in that list?
Obviously the competition was rigged.
Or Diebold handled the voting!
Don't you mean "Yahoo! buys! Indian! ad! firm!"?
This stuff gets better and better each week.
I swear, for a moment, I was worried that we may never see the PFY again!
Only script kiddies use "hacking tools". Real "hackers" use diagnostics and other utilities.
Are they going to ban nmap, ethereal, vi and friends?
Nice try NVIDIA, but my 8800GTX is clocked higher, and cost a lot less.
NiBiTor and NVflash FTW!
Who cares where our piratey friends' allegiances lie, as long as they keep providing the sweet, sweet warez?
It's not like they're forcing any opinions on us.
Thank you, that was an absolutely excellent read!
That's the kind of material I'd like to see in a book by my toilet. (That's a compliment, by the way. Seriously.)
Maybe you should check Snopes before taking things so seriously next time!

I bet this software costs an awful lot to license!
And I never understood why people want this when a PC can be shutdown/put into S3 sleep by a scheduled task then powered back on by the BIOS/a WOL magic packet.
I shop at ebuyer a lot, and use their catalog feature. I tend to regularly see alerts telling me that a price has been reduced by 5 or 6p. Or a promotion to save 20p in a 'happy hour' sale.
Sometimes promotions are messed up, but when you stock as much stuff as Amazon, it's bound to happen sometimes.
