Of course it doesn't help when one of the biggest things being processed through the RIM servers at the moment it a repeated chain message along the lines of "you must send this message to all of your BBM contacts to re-activate your BlackBerry services". Apparently people still believe such rubbish.
In the Aquaponics world, we use siphons all the time. Its what drives our systems.
The atmospheric pressure does not need to be present. Take two sealed containers, half full of liquid, with a connecting siphon and a vacuum. Now lower one. The siphon will start running. What matters is the pressure on both sides needs to be equal to make the siphon work. However it is NOT the driving force of the siphon. Gravity is. QED.
All this playing silly buggers with clocks as dammed annoying. Digital clocks are fine, but when you have to go resetting those analogues it's no fun.
I confuse the hell out of people, because I have my watch always set to GMT. If people ask me the time, I tell them. But I don't tell them which time zone it is.
It also dilikes my browser of Choice - Opera.
And woe betide you if you use a decent operating system.
Lotus Notes has far less bugs than other packages (*cough* Microsoft *cough*), so yes it is a rare bug. As an avid Notes user for the past 16+ years I can attest to that. There have been about 4 such bugs which caused security breeches. But even this one has very minor effects. For one, any Domino Admin worth their Salt would have AV protection on the system. 123 files are also pretty uncommon these days with most people using the default M$ spreadsheet thing.
And to Dan who seems to think that Notes itself is a bug, I've lost count of the number of times that Notes has out performed other more common software packages. Just because you're incompetent enough to use it doesn't mean the rest of us are.
I bought one of these beasties a while back. So when there was glorious sunshine during April what happened?
Well to put it bluntly nothing. The system is not even powerful enough to keep a Nokia 3210 topped up on just solar power alone. After a full days charging in the sunshine it barely had enough power to boost the battery up by one mark on the scale.
As a portable charger its brilliant. Small and can keep things powered up for a while, but for solar power. Nil points. Needs something a bit beefier.
Incidently I stuck my volt meter on one of the solar units when in full sunshine. Approx voltage 4.1v. Thats fine. But current was at about 2mA which is absolutely hideous.
It is a sad state of affairs when government policy dictates that which they do not understand. So I guess it's business as usual then.
Anime has long been misunderstood in this country, ever since the marketing-droids a decade ago tried to force the sex'n'violence side of anime down the peoples throat and created a sterotype which we are still living under today.

I don't think people realise just how small the market for hentai actually is in Japan. It's like saying that just because Quentin Tarantino produces a few films, every film that the Hollywood factory produces is violence incarnate.
You cannot legislate morality. But apparently the government is trying to. But as usual they have completely cocked it up.
