Can't use an iPad to present? WRONG!
I have the iPad 3G and the VGA adapter - I've given a keynote presentation using a pico projector through the VGA port. That keynote presentation was created in Powerpoint and imported. I also present live websites via projector. How? Well, there's an app for that too. I use mine everyday at work. I can access my email and my calendar and found out I can type on the landscape keyboard faster that I can write (and it's more legible). Perhaps the author should actually USE an iPad before pontificating how useless it is.

"Unix is essentially - and embarrassingly - dead on the desktop" is an incredible statement to make. Apple sold more than 8 million "Unix Desktops" in 2008. This article has no credibility for me. Do some research first. Jeez!
It's the "security" add-on!
The article is right about the solution - remove the parallels security software and it runs fine. I had the problem and tinkered with the security settings several times before removing the security software in disgust. My parallels now runs like a champ, but the guy who wrote the security software should be made to listen to Steve Ballmer speeches for a straight week!

Let's see here, YHOO was trading at $19 and change before the MSFT offer, they had mediocre financials in the interim, now MSFT is gone and YHOO is trading north of $25 - a 20% premium for doing nothing in particular - they are the same company that traded at $19.
