Nooooo!

Please don't let them add instant messaging and other crap to my Thunderbird. I really enjoy having a quick, friendly, reliable e-mail client that does e-mail and does it well, instead of one of those "what other annoying features can we cram in?" communications software packages.

Need more details

We need to know if there are autopsies planned on the medical examiners who 'woke him up' or if they just needed to go home and change their underwear.

Hmmm

I really think Webster needs to switch to decaf.

New Sony product?

I wonder what kind of rootkit is installed on this one.

I'm gonna wait...

...for the iPod shuffle with video.

You have a RAID 5 on your iPod?

How do you get all those drives in there?

@James Le Cuirot

Wouldn't that be "Rascally Rabbit"?

Or should we wait for the W's to use Elmer Fudd's version?

I agree with Anonymous re: album sleeves

Actually, we called them jackets. I can remember sitting on the floor reading all of the notes and admiring the artwork on my first copy of The Wall while listening to the music. The little fold-out card in the CD version just doesn't do it. Having said that, I also wore out two vinyl copies, whereas the CD version I bought is still sounding great.

What's in a name

Does this mean that Tyroo will have to change their name to Tyroo! ?

They're both a little too old

Harrison Ford is starting to look like's about Sean Connery's age. My suggestion for a title for the new movie...

Indiana Jones and the Kids Who Wouldn't Get Off His Lawn

no, no

I think the article was referring to popular computers. After all, it's well known that nobody writes viruses for Macs for the same reason that nobody writes other software for Macs - because only 3% of the computer world would use them.

Mark stumbled on the answer

Looking at Mark Walker's comment near the beginning of the list, I have the answer! Keep feeding the cows all the grain, and all we need to do is attach methane collectors to the, er, output. Kills two birds with one stone (in an earth-friendly non-violent-to-birds way) by collecting methane, which is a highly flammable hydrocarbon and would make a great auto fuel, and also keeps the methane from entering the atmosphere and causing global warming. Where can I pick up my huge government grant for sorting this out?

Am I missing something?

The article I read was about "Canadian scientists" (I understand that this is obviously hard for some of you to grasp, but "Canadian" does not equal "American". Canada and the USA are different countries. Honest.) who had detected the gravity shadow of the ice sheet. I couldn't see anything in there about anybody having discovered gravity or isostacy. Maybe there are claims like that in the original paper, but there is nothing like that in the article.

Well being?

Tony's "current" well-being? Ba ha ha ha ha!

Latitude revisited

Actually, Ontario runs from 41°N to 57°N. Sarnia is at 42°58'. And most Canadians heat with oil or natural gas.

Windmills on golf courses

Don't they already have these? I was playing a course just last week with a windmill. It wasn't so bad... The next hole where you had to shoot the ball up the ramp into the clown's mouth was a lot harder.
