First look: Apple iPhone 5S and 5C

Re: Incremental?

Well it takes 2 seconds.

But that's not the point. Finger scanner is strategically much more than pattern swipe on Android:

1. Nobody but you can unlock your phone. No one can copy your finger print, unlike pattern swipe, which can be gazed upon over the shoulder.

2. Touch ID can be used to purchase iTunes content, potentially used later by 3rd party apps to purchase items from their own e-store front. e-Wallet, is the big idea.

Pattern swipe? Google will copy Apple on this one in no time.

iPhone contracts?

You can get an iPhone right now, connnect it to your laptop, download ZiPhone, press a button, unlocked in under 5 mins.

If you really don't like the recently revised o2 iphone packages that is. I actually find it reasonable, with unlimited cellular data and free access to Cloud network and all.

iPlayer on Linux

Linux guys, calm down a bit. iPlayer works on Linux, on the streaming mode, just point your firefox to www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/

It's the download with DRM part won't work on the Linux destop. Let's face it, if you are developing any software for a mass consumer market, you probably will cover Windows first, Mac second and finally Linux.

This's the market we have to live with.
