If ATi made a chipset for Atom...

If ATi made a chipset for Atom based on a low-power X300SE core, it would be a killer combo...

Fantastic

Fantastic that the Good Old XP is keeping along. Vista is bad, slow, DRM-ridden, and rotten.

But how will XP Home work with processors like the new Atom with 2 cores? AFAIK Windows XP Home will only work in uniprocessor mode :|

Running the slowest S60 phone...

The S60V3 interface is okay, and running a N75 in my pocket is a great experience, can watch YouTube videos via MobiTubia, can play 3D Games, etc. on the slowest, least-featured, POS S60V3 device Nokia has put on the market, yet it has a great picture editor, a fantastic camera with video support, and is not as slow as people say... yet the other day I installed an unsigned app that was a virus but a flash later my N75 is running quick and smooth and is a pleasure to have.

Mobile phones nowadays aren't "just Phones" anymore, you use them as MP3 player, video player, camera/video, game players, map devices, alarm clock, notepad, Office document editor, MMS/SMS paging, audio recorder, picture gallery, they are a great convergence device including internet access, sky-is-the-limit-while-you-have-battery...

As for the Nokia iPhone, I'm still wanting a N81 with 8 GB or a N96 as my next phone :)

A380F payload...

FedEx, UPS and several cargo carriers have cancelled/deferred their orders for A380F because it does not have a frontal nose door, it's impractical to load/unload, needs special taxiways and the maximum cargo load density is very low compared to a 747 or a 777.

Now the 777F looks like a winner: efficient, two engines, top-notch efficiency, long range and great looks.

Bad design

Remove the mousepad thingie, get a 2.5 inch hard drive, an ATi 780G, standard WiFi, DVI and HDMI, remove the legacy ports, a slimmer, sexier design with the keyboard closer to the front, get it an internal BD-ROM, give it 10 USB ports, internal PSU (like the one on the Dreamcast) and that could be the excellent home computer.... just plug it into your HDTV's VGA/DVI/HDMI port and turn on the power... with low power consumption, low heat emissions (thanks to an Athlon LE) that could be an excellent computer for the kids or for HTPC...

Why I downgraded from Vista to XP

Reality Check...

Vista can do NOTHING that XP can´t.

Even DirectX 10 games are just hype in the clouds. (see Flight Simulator X)

I run all new hardware and Vista is a memory/cpu hog. Back to XP is happiness galore.

Please don´t come and tell us "Vista runs ok" because that only can come from a shill. And then try to sell the idea by saying "and I´m a Mac/Linux/BSD user", that looks like an Office 2008 template.

Puh-leez.
