In Whatever happened to the email app?

Email exposes you to too much spam and security risks.
I only find it useful for order dispatch notifications when I order things online.

In Internet Explorer 8 still not mingling well with 2,000 highly-visited sites

Having your site display properly in IE8 is easy. Any sites not doing that are fail. It's not Microsoft's problem, it's rubbish web developers.

In 77% of domain registrations stuffed with rubbish

If there's a WhoIs opt-out I'll gladly provide accurate information and opt-out. Having my address posted online because I registered a domain name, well that's unacceptable. If someone gets assaulted because of their WhoIs record can they prosecute based on Data Protection?

In Fujifilm Finepix Real 3D W1
You can create the 3d effect yourself. Open an image in photoshop, duplicate the layer, drag it sideways a bit, and remove the red from one and the blue from the other. easy peasy.

In Nokia netbook to land on 22 October

Well, maybe you'll be able to upgrade. And buy bigger and better plans. Much like phones.
People already pay for mobile phones. People already pay for internet. People already own computers. Why would they buy all this again and commit to a contract?
People are stupid.
They pay 10x what they need to for their mobile phones, and now they'll pay 10x what they need to for mobile internet.
It's a very bad day for computing.

In Windows 7 still baking in oven, insists Microsoft

That's a difficult question.
Do you release your 7600 build and allow the world to test it? Or do you keep hold of it, to give users more of a reason to buy a retail copy?
Do they need more of a reason to buy a retail copy? Will 7100 users buy retail Seven, or will they go back to XP, or Vista - whatever they already have a copy of?

In Microsoft offers Windows 7 early and cheap to volume customers

I can see business persons being pressured into upgrading, and saving money, and getting productivity, and not using 8 year old operating systems, and blah blah blah...
Then going over to their IT guys and saying "upgrade us now", and then not caring when the IT guys say "actually this won't run on our cheap-ass business machines", and then blaming the IT guys when the experience is bad.
Discounts are evil.

I really wish companies would produce a quality product which serves the customers' needs at the best possible price. I also wish people weren't retarded, that way companies wouldn't be able to mess them around with small print and breaches of privacy. Far too many retards using computers these days.

What's the problem with MS shipping Windows with IE again? Every now-and-then you need IE anyway, may as well save yourself the hassle of installing it.

In US woman says Ubuntu can't access internet

So who's fault is it?
Her fault, for not knowing anything about Ubuntu?
Dell's fault, for letting her have Ubuntu?
Microsoft's fault, for creating software that doesn't work on Ubuntu?
Ubuntu's fault, for not being compatible with Word?
She can't be expected to know about Ubuntu, so it's not her fault. Dell sell computers, if someone buys the wrong thing, it's not their fault either. Microsoft make Windows, they don't want people to have Ubuntu, fair enough. Ubuntu... perhaps should support more applications.
BLAME UBUNTU !

In Vista SP2 to land in April 2009-ish?

Remember MS has an obligation to support and OS for x years, this service pack is for those unfortunate enough to own a copy of Vista. I'm confident MS have their devs focused on Windows 7, as we all agree they should do.
