FAIL

detail?

You fail to mention which drives come good on any guarantee that writes actually make their way to permanent storage when the drive reports so. With that in mind, the minimal performance figures you quote are even more useless.

For example, the Intel 320s have a cluster of capacitors onboard that make it behave as advertised. But what about the others?

I'd also like to see a review where drives are tested to failure, so we know what they do when they fail. I.e. do they fail hard, do they have honest smart data or do they lie?

McAfee is a pile of S****

My brother was hit by this very problem! He turned up at my flat at 11pm saying he had a big meeting the next day and McAfee had f*cked his laptop.

Was a bit of a git to sort, but once we pulled McAfee all was well.

The only experience of McAfee I've had is when it screws something up. Must be the worst AV product there is.

I stick with avast

Linux

PostgreSQL anyone?

An increase licencing costs may bring home the pennies now, however it's only going to discourage future use and encourage existing users to migrate over to alternatives.

So that approach might keep old Larry in fighter jets, but it'll dump a load of elephants on his yacht.

Oracle takes profit blow

I like to think alternatives such as the excellent PostgreSQL also helped deliver that blow too.

Just a little anyway.

More bullsh*t then

McEwen is a knob. Hopefully at some point the world will realise that and ignore every single A.Inc press release.

Hyperions OS4 is the closest to a new AmigaOS we'll ever see for newish hardware.

My advice is to forget about A.Inc, pull out that old a1200 and have a couple of games of Final Fight followed by a game of Cannon Foddder.
