Can be done without doubles!

Saw a local production of "The Mystery of Irma Vep", a two-person show. At one point, one of the players exited out a door and reappeared through another door within five seconds, having totally changed costumes. It startled the audience into complete silence, then got a huge round of applause.

All you need is skill and Velcro, not a double. Bah.

Thumb Down

How asinine!

If I don't want a collection of CDs cluttering up my house, what the hell would I want a drawer full of USB keys for? Then there's the millions of these which will collect dust or go to landfills - huge waste issues. And since Fair Use is anathema to the record biz, you'll have to actually insert the stick to play the tune. Simply stupid!

What moron came up with this idea, and what committee of morons thought it was a good idea?

Here's the way to do USB sticks: Walk into a shop, buy a track, and copy it to YOUR OWN keydrive, DRM-free. I won't hold my breath...

The Mexican Dream

Oh, us evil Americans, don't want to let the nice hard-working folks in. Bull.

America welcomes anyone wanting to join the American dream. Bureaucracy makes it take forever, but us citizens get that too, so get used to it. We do not welcome those who intend to come here, make money, pay no taxes, use free services, then bugger off back to Mexico some day.

Illegal alien. There, I said it. Their ardent defenders would slap my citizen butt in jail for a tenth of the laws these jerks break, beginning with tax evasion. The benefits of having them here are outweighed by the down sides of 20 million people whose very presence is based on violating every US law they can get away with. If you non-American love habitual criminals so much, please contact the Mexican consulate to get all you want.

I know plenty of foreign national who play by the rules, and it's an insult to every one of them to defend the illegals.

You only think the Bible pure if you've never read it

Yes, children, the Bible encourages and condones many, many rapes, murders, incest, you name it. Denial and wishful thinking won't change that. To be fair, most religious texts have their outrages.

Does the good in the Bible outweigh the bad? Absolutely not. If you have to cherry-pick what you believe, try to redefine what the words REALLY say, and so on, you're probably following the wrong "ethical" text.

Time to stop glossing over the horrors in the Bible and stop focusing on John 3:16.

Geeks make the best lovers, given half a chance

People who are sought after for their looks or social status never have to try to be good in bed, or even very nice. Those of us who had to get laid on our other merits are going to work much harder to be good lovers. Also much more appreciate of our partners than the ones who get it early and easy.

This is exactly the kind of introduction that will get these guys off to a great start on being red-hot lovers for anyone lucky enough to look past the glasses. With that said, it still helps to be neat and in decent shape. Do the best you can with what you got - your partner deserves nothing less.

For the record, I lost mine at 21. I'm not terribly good-looking, but I'm an outdoor adventuregeek which keeps my wiry-skinny self in very good shape. IT geek for a living, yo.
