Are you referring to lasers used in clubs and on concerts ?
They generally rely on a smoke component (smoke machine or cigarette wielding customers) to display their images. Also I doubt that the lasers can project complicated object as shown in the video here. I also think that most of the lasers shows are simple shapes and not 3D (circles, squares, triangles and so on)

I think they choose the structure with internal struts to show that complex forms are possible.
Of course variable thicknesses would be more effective but less impressive from the "look what we can do with this printer" perspective.

nowhere is mentioned that Acidgen was setting a date. "Once a patch was released" is not the same as saying that I will release the bug and exploit code at a set date.

single glazing. Most buildings have single glazing and no insulation. That is what stops every discussion. Yes there are technologically wonders here but everyday life is on the standards of what life in the 50's must have been in Europe.

I sure don't. Facebook on the other hand is gaining in Japan. More and more friends start using facebook alongside mixi just to make international friends. (translate this as target practice for their English)

I know that 2011 is going to be the year of PS3 (for the 5th time in a row) but can you tell me what great PS3 games are out there that have no similar game on 360 ?
Not really what will happen is that everybody who uses their pc for facebook, email and web will go to mobile devices, probably. These people are now using PC's with way too much power.
I also look forward to this time. Maybe just maybe the amount of spam will decline if everybody who does not know what windows update is, is moved to a non windows platform.
People who need to develop stuff as in write code, edit anything more complex than a facebook profile like documents, spreadsheets, music, movies, pictures, websites, code they will still need a decent PC/laptop.
I have been on the lookout for a small laptop that could replace all the PC's that I have here but did not find anything yet that would satisfy me and I don't think I am overly demanding.

man that is the reason why I tell people to go OO. If you get frustrated enough about some thing at least you have the possibility to fix it yourself. Granted you have to be a pretty good / amazing programmer but in MS software you can't even think about finding a solution yourself.
