Yes but

Please, consider that the current version of office is 2010, not 2007. The ribbon in office 2007 was so bad it was significantly and for the better in the later version. So if you have to have a ribbon, base it on 2010. With screens getting wider, the realestate is on the horizontal plan. Putting fat ribbons at the top does not make sense anymore.

Shame

The streak 5" has been my"phone" for a while. Like most who like the streak 5 I don't use the phone much, but it is a nice add on to a good size tablet. I understand it is not for all. it will be a pain to have to carry 2 devices to achieve the same.

Too easy

Facebook has yet again made it too easy for phones to sync contact info to the site. All info sharing should be off by default and then it should be made difficult to enable. Once enabled it should warn before the first few syncs. And removing sync and info should be made superb easy.

Then difference between genius and madness is success. Is it possible that M$Okia are seeing something that is missing? A mobile OS that integrates with corporate systems running on good quality devices? After all that is how blackberry made a squillion back in the old days when emails to mobile was the ultimate integration.

If your os was a car

Looking at it the wrong way

Here is a little idea. Why don't we start looking at the car strictly as a tool. We only make it as powerful as it needs to be, so we don't need all the electronics to compensate for the over power and under skills? 60 bhp per tonne would be sufficient.

Parking assist, why? If a driver does not have the skills to park, maybe they should not be on the road.

All of a sudden we have a vehicle that is safer, cleaner and much cheaper. The only electronic that we need is a signal jamming device so imbeciles cannot use their mobile phone while driving. Another step closer to safety heaven.

There are studies in Germany that have shown that by removing road signs and traffic lights in towns, accidents decreased. This is because the driver HAS to concentrate on driving and road rules instead of having such an easy drive that the mind can wonder.

Increase education and decrease horsepower. Technology is not always the answer.
