Correlation and causation.
100% of breathing people die ergo breathing causes death!

As the justification is that their network is twice as fast as BT's then I am guessing that these increases obviously wont apply to the "National" ADSL service which is no faster than BT and is significantly lower at times due to the traffic shaping and the network issues they experience on the ADSL service. I routinely experience issues even managing to stream a 360 Youtube video on virgin with constant buffering interruptions in the evenings.
I would love to go back to cable again, but no coverage.
Gone are the days where you had to get specialist appliances and key fobs to enable 2FA, it really is an easy solution and when you run a network that is now used as an authentication system by so many 3rd party services, there is no excuse for not stepping up and offering the more security conscious punters at least an option of using it.
The same network level filtering operating in schools which every school kid knows how to subvert so they can continue to post rubbish on facebook and other blocked sites as if the block didn't exist. The only workable solution that will 100 prevent kids seeing stuff their parents are not happy with is the parents sitting down with their kids when they use the internet instead of just using the internet as a baby sitter and leaving them to do what they want.
There have been many occasions where topics I understood very well have been covered on the BBC and in every single case there has been a very biased spin put on it which was not justified by the actual facts behind the story. This is why one of the BBC's monikers is the Biased Broadcasting Company, Try it out for yourself. Look for a BBC news story on any topic you understand fully and see how they have spun the story to fit their own agenda
Considering price rise seen for 2tb units nearly everywhere in the past week or so with units that were on sale for £55 ex vat now on sale for £125 ex vat, I am hard pushed to see how anyone can say 10% price hikes as rises I am seeing are all over 100% unless you are prepared to wait 1 - 2 months for delivery.
How can you opt out of something that has been added and turned on by default without any notification at all. Facebook keep making the same mistake over and over again. If you honestly cannot sell your wonderful new feature to me enough to make me turn it on then you need to ask if you should be including it in the first place, let alone forcing it down my throat and telling me sometime later that I could have opted out of something you never told me about if I didn't want it.
As most kids are much more tech savvy than the parents anyway, any locally installed software solution is doomed to failure, just like any network level solution will be defeated by anyone interested in seeing something they shouldn't. All of my nephews mates knew how to get to any site they wanted from the school IT classrooms despite most of the sites they were using being blocked at the network level.
Parents already have a choice which is telling their kids not to click on something. Kids should not be let lose on the internet without adult supervision. The internet is not a baby sitter and I am sure that you wouldn't let your kids wander around any city doing whatever they want and talking to anyone they see without you so why on earth would you let them do it online.
Once an xbox has had an RROD repair it is much more likely to suffer the same fault again. Microsoft may now offer an extended warranty for RROD but that was not always the case and it very far from the only dead console issue they suffer. I am saying that as someone who has a ps3 and xbox so I am not just biased against the xbox
There are more deaths amongst coal miners in a single year than there have been directly caused by nuclear energy in the past 60 years. Much like you are more likely to die in an accident on the way to the airport than one in the airplane, yet people just love to worry about the daftest things. and they try to use any excuse to show that they are right to worry about it. I would suggest those people use precautionary principle and stay in bed in case something happens, but then again as more people die in bed than anywhere else, where does that leave you?
I could get 90% of people to agree stopping breathing was a good idea by crafting the questions.
No report is worth the paper it isn't written on unless the questions are fair and unbiased.
Would you prefer road charging based on
a) actual road usage usage
b) engine size
Can then be stated by self serving government departments to prove that everyone who answered this question agreed with road pricing.
Cracks me up that she was so upset about it she sold her story to the national press had images of her and her child publicised far beyond anything that would ever have been known before
Congratulations for your national press advert to any paedophile that you were supposedly worried about in the first instance.
The simple lesson is that if you don't want something seen then don't show it off!
Do anything in the front garden where everyone can see it and you have no grounds to complain if it gets seen by people
More like approves silent calls.
Ofcom hereby gives permission for every company the UK to make one silent call per number per day without any penalty. Companies from outside the uk are of course welcome to continue making as many silent calls as they wish and can continue to ignore the TPS
There is no need for silent calls if an agent is not available do not call out.
Considering Ashliegh also contacted their killed on MSN which does prominently display the ceop button proves just how pointless this whole slime throwing match is
Why force a button that is useless on millions of users who would have less than zero use for it. The only people to benefit from the inclusion of a ceop button would be ceops pitifully low self esteem.
Google has had the option to give a username and pasword for accessing protected content on your site for ages now.
On the other had It used to really pee me off when I had to go through several sites before I could actually access the information without having to go through signups and validations even on free sites! So instead of the signup to see this post link the back button always got hit and webmasters really need to look into the amount of visitors they are losing by insisting on signups on non premium sites
Its got to the point now where if there is no cache link on the google search result then I do not even bother clicking it as they are normally hiding content behind logins etc
Until parents are forced to give a flying "File System ChecK" about what their kids are doing then these labelling systems are just used as a shopping list of things a game must contain for them to want it.
The sort of parents that would happily let a 12 year old have a clearly 18 rated game are not going to be bothered if it has a icon meaning violent on it or not
And do not forget that with the police trawling through the oyster db at will looking for people to blame for every crime, like protesting against the gordonment, thinking for yourself, saying the government is anything less than god etc, if they accept anyone can clone a card will mean that their little data mine is worthless, I just hope there is a big enough stink about this that everyone learns the cards can be cloned and this police misuse of the oyster db is stopped by being laughed out of court whenever it is used / attempted
With the number of junk calls I get from my phone company and other cold calling bottom feeding pond scum, there is no way I will ever pay to receive calls at least not until we have the ability to charge (in advance) companies for every single item of marketing we are forced to endure.
Unlimited = without limits.
Any form of limiting be it a cap on the amount of data, time or bandwidth you can use is a limit.
limited != unlimited ergo the ASA are about as much use as most other agencies in this country and should either shape up or shut down.
Mine's the one dreaming of singing "leaving on a jet plane, dunno when I'll be back again"
Well I guess they must have people on the streets there then as over here where the police are too busy hiding from the public (unless there is a free ticket to a major sporting event in it for them) there is never anyone to catch anyone doing anything.
Mines the paramedic one to make it easier to treat people for shock who have seen a bobby on the beast for the first time in 10 years.
Once Gore finally backs this pledge http://epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=Minority.Pledge which he has been refusing to do for over a year, then I will believe that Gore actually believes a word he is saying.
Till then I will go on knowing he is deliberately lying rather than that he has just been misled by others who should know better
When it comes to gaming, age is NOT the problem and as long as we keep on trying to fool ourselves that it is then society as a whole will continue to suffer.
As long as these 40+ year old PC adults are so entrenched in the fantasy world that they believe someone who once saw 5 minutes of a game or film got turned into a serial killer by the time they were 7 and a half because of it then its no wonder they believe everyone else is living in cloud cuckoo fantasy land, shame they do not realise that they are the ones living there.
