Stupidity on a grand scale
I'm one of those people they are annoying. I would have a prime subscription right now if it would cast to my Chromecast ultra. Win for both parties. Guess it's Netflix and YouTube for me then. GG Amazon.

"It would be nice if they make iTunes fast, but I guess that will never happen. Even my friend who like Apple iTunes won't use it on Windows, even though he uses Windows quite a bit."
A friend of mine lamented the fact it took over 3 hours to update the music on his iDevice. Funny how Sharepod software did it in 20 minutes. Apple software... it's just not my cup of tea.
We all saw this coming when Capita got the contract. They do accounting software for local government and they are not very good at that, hence the private sector has better solutions. Maybe public procurement processes should look at a companies past record of delivering on projects rather than how much they are asking for? What a joke.
""I can just see now, Apple suing Microsoft over patents they hold on this or for more licensing revenue."
Firstly Microsoft and Apple have a cross licensing agreement.
Secondly Microsoft have far more patents in this space than Prime Sense or Apple - having already purchased the market leaders in this space - 3DV Systems and Canesta, and having been developing this sort of tech themselves for years...."
You say that but Apple invented flapping your arms about... oh and oxygen...
"Most of the traffic data comes from a publicly available feed from traffic master."
Sorry I don't believe that is true in this case. Android handset report their position while turned on and this is collated into traffic flow data. Good luck competing with the sheer volume of data! nom nom data at the chocolate factory.
How is COD:Ghosts bugwise? I've got BF4 with premium and it's crashing every 5-15 minutes for me with bugs that should have been resolved pre-release(directx receiving malformed instructions from game engine). I'll not buy another EA game now as £85 for a single game and it does not reach my expectation of a game that is release candidate material. Anyone got both games to compare?
Lol, says the guy who proved mine and had none. You do know you're on "Anonymous Coward" right? The option for witless wonders who know what they're typing is merely detritus on the inter webs. If you bother with any more meaningless replies, enjoy the tumble weed my old bean.
""You'd have to have a heart of stone not to laugh at the death of Little Nell "
Oscar Wilde quote which says something profound about the nature of humour and also provides a good measure for how to determine the humourless."
Also shows how much of pretentious tw@t you are but there you go. One for you:

"If it's just hype, why are the iOS web share figures so high?"
I've come with a semi plausible answer for this:
Because if you choose to buy wisely you can also afford to buy a PC in addition, which you can use to browse at you convenience. At home use PC, on the move phone. Shame I drive to work else else I'd have more opportunity to use my android. Then I'm busy working at work and use company PC. The low paid employees at Starbucks have iPhones and keep playing with them when they are not busy. As I sat there I saw an unemployed single mum on benefits that had a nice new iPhone 5S and new trainers(she was moaning about not being able to afford food as they were cutting her job seekers and her ex wasn't paying child support). It's terrible that people just cannot help themselves these days.
Oh I'm waffling... iPhones keep to a single identity (eg: see marketing figures, they do not distinguish between which version of iPhone). The rest of the market is fragmented into a competitive array of devices which would dilute shares. If you ask me, Apple are great at marketing and making money.
@Andy Prough
"I'm convinced that half the fanboi comments are just guys that are getting paid $7 per hour by Apple to comment on tech websites using canned company lines."
I'd never thought of that but it makes a lot of sense. After all you can buy followers on twitter by the thousands.
"i.e. instant swap out and none of this return to manufacturer and it's away for 3+ weeks."
So the three month old vacuum cleaner I bought on the high street that I returned as faulty didn't get a swap for a new one in store? The OCZ SSD that failed after 2 and a half years didn't get replaced with a newer model within one working day (allowing 3 days for transport). However the iPod mini with unrecoverable unhappy face that in store I could not avoid the sales pitch for some support deal, binned.
You sir make me think anyone who buys Apple is a retard that is so taken in by marketing that you cannot see the wood for the trees. It's like that film 'The Trueman Show' where his wife spouts off advertising when I read some 'fanboi' comments on here.
Anything driven by politics and a budget tends to get screwed over by the former and if its just driven by money of course it will be smoother. Saying that if there was no money in it then there would be no private entity. Governments are kinda stuck handling the unprofitable market segments making up for the failings of the market. So if the market worked then there would be a very small government, which would be nice.
Well the geographic nature of search results returned for 'places' nearby seems to work(i.e. searching for bike shop, gets bike shops nearby). I'm not sure how searching for "Bombay TakeAway" will return "Po Lee's Chinese" in the results. Maybe you are mentally retarded? In that case, I suggest you should buy an Apple mobile phone.
Do these figures account for growing numbers self building and smaller computer vendors? OK not millions but makes PCs less in decline. Mac on the other hand are on decline as OSX sucks balls and ppl are realising that they need a computer to do more than buy rip off music and organise photos of kittens. (OK I had nothing to add about macs, rarely anyone I know owns one, in fact the only guy I know that owns one is a tw@t)
NP900X4C find one of those with windows 7 and you're golden. Much better than Macbook Air IMO. You'll read reviews that its screen in not premium(lower res. than others) but I like to be able to read text on screen when the laptop is on my lap so I bought it and never looked back. Higer res on a 15 inch screen is pointless, *looks at Apple.
Don't they hold the patent for using oxygen in a process to release energy? I'm pretty sure the filing includes the by product of CO2 being expelled. There must be someone in the Apple legal team getting off by how much ludicrous crap he get patented. He's the dog's bollocks at what he does!
It's criminal letting public sector manage public money. Politics before common sense... cheap and effective if done privately. There is a major fail with the contract bidding that falls on the shoulders of the public sector managers who can't get a job in the private sector. :/
Ah the irony is killing me?!?!? Ed 13 I hope that was a joke lol. What the guy above said!
Jesus you do get proper tards online (*looks at Ed 13). The west cost service is brilliant with Virgin and I regularly enjoy £14-18 one way trips from Kent to Birmingham (3 day advance bookings off peak). The value is there and the service is very good.
