Oh come on.
2 September? We've waited so long they could have bumped it a few weeks to 22 September surely? A long expected series?!

Indeed. I only noticed because my password manager refused to dish out the goods for this previously unknown domain. I expect it's one big elaborate phishing scam. They can have my reg account -- Reg lost all the passwords some years ago anyway so they know what to do ;)
I'm completely ignorant of the smart speaker world, so apologies if this has a well-known answer.
Is there an open source firmware that can be put on these things?
I'm a fan of Lineageos and a recent convert to OpenWRT (after some fiddly soldering to get a serial input on an old but good router). Old Sonos Speaker seems like a prime target for rooting and replacing the firmware -- especially if they're not going to update them, any way of rooting will presumably remain?
it looks spot on! Agree £90 is too steep though. I can see from their website that there IS a UK layout, but the dealbreaker would be whether the return key is two-row L-shaped or not! I like a return key I can't miss. Can't find pics of the UK Layout.

It would seem the answer is "no".
Public yes and the address of the defendant may well be read out in court for all present to hear. That probably doesn't breach GDPR.
Storing the address electronically and without consent or informing/obtaining consent from the personally identifiable individual of your intentions, distribution or retention policy, and then broadcasting that address online seems to be it would fall foul of GDPR.
Why hasn't this been challenged?...
I was speaking to an astrophysicist recently and I was surprised to find out that red-shift is now calculated not only to take account of the recessive speed of the star/galaxy where the photon was emitted from (the further away the higher the speed because of the expansion appears faster), but also because the length of time the photon is in existence, it's wavelength actually DOES get significantly stretched by the universe's expansion. I didn't ask at the time but I suppose this happens to photons because they don't have any other weak or strong forces holding them together??? (I am not a professional physicist). I think this means that if the photon was for some reason not moving, but sitting around for billions of years (presumably listening to the director's cut of Wagner's Ring Cycle) it would be "red-shifted" (or at least just stretched) by the universe's expansion over that time.
@eldel Good to get some real-life feedback on alternatives, thanks! I know that some day the Pebble will give up the ghost... I've got some replacement batteries on their way courtesy of Aliexpress for a dead PT a friend gave me (knowing I like to tinker). If that Christmas hol project goes well I might get a few more years out of it yet!
They did implicitly though. Part of the Court of Session in Edinburgh's ruling stated that he had misled the queen. The government appealed against that ruling at the Supreme court in London who rejected the appeal, upholding the Court of Session's original ruling (including declaring the prorogation null and void).

You buy your house from us.
We will make sure your windows/doors/locks are kept up to date as every so often burglars find a way to open our windows or unlock our locks. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN KEEP YOUR HOUSE SAFE. Don't think about it, just let us do it.
We may also cripple your central heating boiler while we update your locks.
Presumably because this is the point at which facebook needs a name synonymous with trust, kept promises and public confidence.
<sarcasm alt="in case anyone was in doubt"/>
Alternatively, facebook absolutely DOES need someone who can sing the "I'm sorry" song every few weeks each time they let on they lost more user data.
