Google's patents bid may prompt showdown with Microsoft

The main man
Thumb Down

The real reason...

For Microsoft taking Google to court is that she wants Google to feel her pain. After years of anti-trust and anti-competition lawsuits in America and the EU (choice of browsers in new PC's as a result of one of those lawsuits), the only way Microsoft can beat Google is guess what through the same way.. pathetic

Andriod and WP7

So how many have Andriods and Windows 7? I think FB is the way to go for these ladies. Sites like Gumtree are too sleazy and on FB (i have seen a few) she doesn't really need to advertise her services. She might put a semi nude or generally hot pic as her profile pic and then spam fanpages by saying "please add me". If you add her (which i did a few times and then removed) you will have access to her sem naked pics. Just a quick emal saying "hi do you do escort"? brings up her prices, availability and things she does and does not do. If FB shuts her profile down, she will open another one continuing the cycle

Anonymous pwns security firm that probed its membership

The main man

come to think of it....

Anonymous should know that Mr Barr is not stupid. He has their secret info stored offline somewhere. You think he would store it in his email or online? duh. Arcording to the BBC "He said he did not intend to hand the information over to the authorities unless forced to, but did plan to present his findings at a conference in San Francisco later this month." The fanboys went berserck and "Mr Barr's Twitter account was filled with a sequence of racial and sexual slurs, along with a string of personal details such as his mobile phone and social security numbers."

Man they even stoop as low to make racist remarks.. I think Mr Barr will hand over his evidence to the police. One thing that "Anonymous" should realise is that they did not invent the internet and you are not really anonymous on it. It just takes a little flash of cash and some geniuses can bring down this organisation in a matter of days.

The main man
FAIL

Not so anonymous

Don't forget that on the internet you are not "anonymous" as you claim to be: http://www.simpleweb.org/reports/loic-report.pdf

Assange: Text messages show rape allegations were 'set up'

The main man

I agree with you

Why are many wikileaks supporters posting with AC? Just like their hacker brethrens - cowards. I have nothing to hide unlike Assange and co

The main man

hmm

I see i was thumbed down furiously by fanboys/girls. Like i said it is his word against everyone else. The lawyer claims to have proof until this "proof" is in the public domain i will not believe him. The guy is no angel and he is been made a digital martyr. I prefer Open Leaks to Wikileaks.. And thumb away :)

The main man

hmm

Its his word. We need to see physical proof i am afraid. If he can put this in the public then i will believe him

Assange to be released

The main man

My take on this

As many of you will know, i am neutral in this i.e. i don't support wikileaks and assange or the governments. The sex case against him is either trumped up or real (sadly we cannot read people's minds). From what i understand what constitutes rape in Sweden is different from that in Britain. What i don't like is some wiki supporters sending demeaning messages to these rape victims (i am sure victims of rape will condemn their actions)

T-Mobile tots up cost of £199 iPad 3G

The main man

Pointless exercise

Why would one want to cough up another monthly phone bill? This is equivalent to having two phone contracts. If i were to get this device, i will just play with it and have a PAYG account to download data i.e. apps, games etc when needed. Tying me two another phone contract is just plain silly. Xbox 360 outsells PS3 2:1

The main man

Duh....

It is common sense really that the cheaper console sells better than the most expensive console (even if the latter is the most powerfull). At the moment the least powerfull Wii is leading the sales chart (in all regions) followed by the 360 and then the PS3

Join in the Wikileaks DDoS war from your iPhone or iPad

WikiLeaks' Assange to be indicted for spying 'soon'

The main man

I don't think he should be indicted

It will only make him a matyr which is what he and his supporters want. From what i understand, it will be very difficult for the American authorities to make any charges stick because technically, he did not steal these materials himself. It was handed to him and Wikileaks by Manning (whom they have abandoned to rot in jail)

I know he was running late for a meeting and what not but the theif was probably not looking to steal at that point. I have been in a similar situation but i always locked the doors and have my laptop with me

French woman chased up tree by wild pigs, rescued by copter

The main man

I was once attacked by a goat

I am not making this up. It was my fault because i had disturbed the female goat with her young and the male goat (ram) with large horns came after me. He trapped me against the tree and tried to gnore me to death but i found the strenght to hold on to its horn and fight him off. I lifted him by the horns and threw him on the ground and he ran away. That was a scary moment

This is wrong and illegal. There is no differenciation between a "good" hacker and a "bad" hacker (just like saying a good thief and a bad thief). For me they all fall in the same boat.

I don't agree with what the government are doing i also don't agree with what these hacker i.e. criminals are doing. They think they are anonymous (did they create the internet?) but on the internet no one is anonymous. They want to take down Twitter and that will be their downfall. I have been on the receiving end of hackers and it ain't funny. Given the chance, these guys will steal your credit cards and sell it on

Samsung dangles £200 lure at iPad-eyeing punters

I wrote to the head of product development at Samsung and told him that the Galaxy is a great device only hindered by the price. Google delays Chrome OS, punts brandless beta netbook

The main man

Won't take off everywhere

Cloud service requires constant access to the internet. In third world countries and places with poor internet conncetions, it will not take off. At the moment Chrome has 50/50 chance of failure or sucess. It took years for Microsoft to grab the market and Chrome will be no exception (assuming she is to suceed)

These guys are no angels

I agree with Youngs assesment of the situation: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/12/07/cryptome_on_wikileaks/ They completely sold out Manning and the others to further their own interests. And Assange is no angel as well. His public persona is very different from his private
