Microsoft's MCSE and MCSD will become HARDER to win

Dazed and Bemused

I agree that I don't think an MCSE tells an employer anything, but I do think doing them is of some use to techies if only because sitting down and reading a study guide is a good way of learning about new features of the OS (even if you'll never use half of them). And once you've done that you might as well take the exam anyway, if only to get past the sort of filters a recruitment agent might put in your way.

Re: I *want* two phones - I do not want my company IT mess with my personal one

"Until a single phone is able to keep two wholly separated environments" - doesn't Blackberry 10 do that with Balance? And I probably find myself in the rather unusual position where I have a personal WP8 phone but am forced to use an iPhone 5s for work...

BlackBerry CEO: Tablets will be dead in 5 years

Dazed and Bemused

Still, he may well have a point. Firstly, technology changes and five years is a long time. About as long ago as netbooks first appeared for instance, and they're no longer taking the market by storm either. Secondly, do you really need more than one 'intelligent' device? Keep your phone in your pocket connected wirelessly to whatever "dock" you want to connect it to; be it a dumb terminal tablet-style or laptop device, a TV or whatever. I think I'd rather like something like that.

NEC MobilePro

Having owned various flavours of Jornada (820, 680, 720, 728) and an EEE 701 all of which I liked, I still think my favourite mini-notebook type device was the NEC Mobilepro 900C - it managed the to marry the "quite small" and "usable keyboard" aspects with more success than anything else I've used.

Re: ha

A decent UI would be nice, I think; make the OS as attractive as the hardware. Don't make me press physical buttons to do things, and don't make my apps look like they're bound in leather / wood / glass / ebony / ivory / living together in perfect harmony, etc.

"10 point plan"

I think a 10 pint plan might be slightly more useful?
