IT's been an issue for a while....

I was diving with a buddy of mine a few years back and he was using an "air integrated" dive comp - the type that has a transponder that you fix to a spare port on the tank regulator - as we were exiting the water another pair were going in, one of whom had an identical model computer to my mate.

As we passed each other both computers beeped as the transponders switch between the divers... so the guy coming out suddenly thought he had a full tank, and the guy going in appeared to have not much above 50bar left (i.e emergency reserves). This was reported to Suunto and the reply back was its a 40000 to 1 chance so would do nothing about it.

50MB?? Luxury!

This morning I had the dubious pleasures of the Arriva Trains Wales service between Manchester and Cardiff. The Allowance was 20MB and lasted a whole 5 minutes! After that the connection was so poor that I just gave up - so much for enabling a mobile workforce!

If they do come up with a plan...

... I wish them the best of luck trying to find contractors willing to sit within IR35 whilst they deliver it all.

Of course they might just send it all to Capita and Atos, and we know what a top job they will make of it!

Am I right in thinking that there are currently no Apple data centres in the EU, and if so all the personal data of the fanboi crowd (names, credit cards, etc) are happily, and legally as it's in the USA, in the mits of the NSA?
