The plot to kill Google cloud: We'll rename Windows Azure to MICROSOFT Azure

John-IT-Guru

The comments posted here should be on SNL in the US. You Brits ROCK!

To my benefit I grew up in England back in the 60's and early 70's

so I know dry English humor when I see and hear it.

Every comment was SPOT ON!

This was the highlight of my day. Thank you England!!!!!

Microsoft - do you really think you can take on Google with Nokia?

Re: Some Apples and some Oranges

MS provides what we need?

Amazing brain washing job!

Need or locked down into?

LOCKED DOWN INTO is the reality.

So you enjoy living in a prison you pay for?

Interesting.

I escaped the Redmond lockdown in 2001 with Linux.

I've been a free man ever since!

Re: Blackberry next ?

3rd choice? Really?

Maybe if you want to buy a Reboot-A-Phone virus trap I guess then it is a 3rd choice.

But the World has already voted with their wallets NOT to buy anything made by MicroKlunk.

Microsoft can say goodbye to all its OEM's forever now

The Nokia buyout is a nail the size of a 747 into the Microsoft coffin.

Why?

Because the majority of Microsoft's Windows licenses come from its OEM's.

Now that Microsoft is now fully in the hardware business, i.e. tablets and phones,

its OEM's are going to jump ship before Microsoft's next move which will be to buy Dell

and go head to head with the balance of their OEM's product lines.

I predict Microsoft's OEM's will find a Linux OS to put on their pc's and laptops.

Perhaps Google Chrome which is definitely a candidate, just add more software apps

like Libre Office and Windows 8 is toast!

Mobile users have already proved they don't want or need WindoZe 8.

Microsoft is like a chicken running around with its head cut off!

Amazing stupidity!

Murdoch machinations mean Microsoft must rename SkyDrive

SkyDive is perfect

Since no Windows servers really work and you are certain to lose access all the time due to constant MicroFlop server bugs and errors.

I say they should rename it to SKY DIVE!

Google Chromecast is the final nail in Microsoft's mobile coffin.

This highly innovative and economical Google Chromecast device will indeed be the final nail in the Redmond coffin. This will ignite the already highly successful Android mobile devices sales.

Microsoft simply cannot maintain their 98,000 head count without significant mobile market share thanks to the decline of PC Windows license sales. 55% percent from 2012 - 2013.

By the way, the 2nd and only Microsoft cash cow "M$ Office" sales are completely tied to the number of Windows licenses sold.

As you are aware, Microsoft's mobile devices launch was a come from behind hail mary that went into the ground and not into the arms of the receiver [i.e. the Consumers]

No touch down with 1 second left on the clock.

Game over for Microsoft mobile devices.

Balmer has even admitted it was a total failure. But with 70 billion in cash reserves exclusively paid into its coffers by a forced monopoly many know as 'The accidental Empire", Balmer will not accept defeat. His ego will try to spend its way into mobiie market share, utilizing the past de facto mantra "If we polish a turd long enough it will turn into a diamond".

What will be most intriguing is watching that 70 billion vanish due to Balmer's defiant arrogance.

Sometimes when you miss the boat there is no second boat that arrives in time, especially when the monopoly evaporates due to competition!

Apple will survive because they have already achieved significant mobile market share.

Work with Microsoft's stuff for a living? Its reorg will mean NOTHING to you

Re: You're right, but for the wrong reasons

Greed is the main reason Microsoft will go under. A Lockdown Monopoly = Greed.

The lockdown has crumbled. i.e. the Accidental Empire/ monopoly is gone.

The world has mobile choices and Microsoft cannot compete when it is a level playing field.

Users everywhere have already voted with their pocket books and it was for Android and iOS and clearly not another mishap virus trap OS cobbled into a mobile sesame street interface that no one likes.

Balmers REORG is nothing but a downsizing. He had better hurry too, because all that is left

is Windows and Office and we all know about the 27% per year reduction in PC & laptop sales that

happened during 2012 and is also happening again in 2013.

Without mobile market share Microsoft is toast.

No Linux SysAdmin will buy into this rubbish

So let's see what Micrsoft wants to do is get Linux server SysAdmins to pay $2000 for their WindoZe iis server then allow the iis server to run a Linux VM?

Redmonds problem: Windows server market share is dwarfed in comparison to Linux server market share. Not to mention the difference in Linux stability.

In other words take a perfect Linux server OS on a VM which resides on a Linux server which has average uptime of years and not minutes and run a Linux VM on a MicroKlunk platform that will force Linux to have almost no uptime as the Host i.e. The WindoZe iis server is constantly having to be rebooted.

Totally ridiculous!

How dumb is this? Who in their right mind would even consider paying money to Microsoft so they can ruin the far more superior and free Linux VM server business.

NO ONE. This is another Zune, a Bob, Windows 8, and the list is growing rapidly.

What are they smoking in Redmond these?

Call the Police and report a 420.!

I totally gave up using Windows due to viruses

I got tired of Microsoft viruses, scams and malware so I installed a really cool 3D Linux operating system called Robolinux.

It took me only 5 minutes to install it.

Now I can surf the web until I am blue in the face and I can't get a virus.
