agreed this is the major selling point of the cloud! I agree maybe its not cost effective...but imo its being marketed very poorly if this is the case.

100% agree. The stuff HTC and Samsung add on are nothing but bloat. the nexus lines are the best imo just now. Hopefully this will allow more like them.

Yes I kept getting that with Linux Format. My sub with them runs out this Christmas and I don’t think ill renew! Might look into Linux Voice but what you said I would very much agree with.

Seconded. This new spine 2.0 project in NHS they have started sounds really interesting. Whether the NHS manage to turn it into one huge "clusterfuck" is yet to be seen. But going by past projects its a ticking time bomb.

I think that’s why he got his grump on in the first place, the fact they change the .doc/.docx every version forcing users into upgrading to keep up with their constant change of proprietary formats. Which in reality make no difference to your common user.

And then what happens when your a company that needs to keep data indefinitely for auditing..S3 just keeps stacking up and up per month.

That tape library is looking pretty good now. Suitable for some not for all. Its not a one size fits all hat here.

No the actual build quality from the hardware was second to none. Under the plastic was a metal shell around all the components that stopped tampering or any kind of post forensics. It wasn’t impossible but in comparison to the alternatives they were leaps and bounds ahead.

Only reason I know this was because was present at a conference where the MET police discussed it. Very interesting, because they hated getting BB's because they were so much harder to get any information off.

I think your right to be honest. Anyone that buys Oracle DB's don’t buy MySQL support. They buy closed source OracleDB. MySQL will wither away and mariaDB will take over as open source alternative. Meanwhile oracle will keep making lots of money on OracleDB.

Prices are not that close. Think the iPad mini is 270 squid is it not? Making this 70 more for 16Gb versions. If they do go to 2048x1536 might find it struggles with the pixel pushing on games? It was a point made when the nexus 10 had high pixel density.

Correct me if im wrong but its going to cause problems for drivers. Proprietary graphics drivers are going to be designed for this window manager and not Wayland. Leaving everyone else that doesn’t want to use Mir with drivers like we have just now. aka sh*t.
