SAP HANA
Yep, and it's nothing to do with Sybase.
Maybe you're thinking of IQ - great product, ignored by SAP.

I keep toying with the idea of moving my servers to Azure. As part of my Action Pack sub, I get a budget for cloud.
2 problems:
1) It seems to become very expensive very quickly
2) I get a weekly email about scheduled downtime - I'd normally arrange downtime of my own servers around my work. not possible with cloud.
I'm just using it for demo installations at the moment. That brings the other problem that you can't use Save/Resume as in HyperV, so get the choice of running all the time (expensive) or allowing time to start.
Nearly got caught out the other day - if you shut down from within the server rather than the console, you keep paying!
until I work out what I'm paying for - empty box, mobo, processor, power supply and a network card. Plus a cut-down OS.
I'm sure I could do it just as cheaply with an old Windows PC with some extra hard drives without worrying about the esoteric format the HDDs use.
Even more sure there's some open source build of something out there that does it dead cheap too.
I use IE for work apps as I can keep cookies etc kept open. I use firefox for general browsing. Just wish they'd stop mucking around and do some proper 'innovation'. Rounded boxes don't count.
Google gives me the creeps, so no Chrome. I found Iron to be unstable. Didn't like Opera, so that leaves me with IE and Firefox.
Come on - fix the plugin mess - what were they thinking when they disabled Flash without a popup to tell you what was going on? Slight change to the web address far too subtle and not visible in full screen mode.
Just wish the end result of open source software wasn't a messy UI and a massive settings/options dialogue box. Nobody wants to work on the boring stuff - rounded boxes are much more interesting!
To just use a PC/Mac connected to manage everythin?
I have a £150 Windows PC connected to an amplifier with decent speakers. Same PC connects to a projector for films. Can control over whatever method I prefer.
Speaker cables are run along the skirting boards - plenty of easy ways to hide them.
I'd like to go wireless for the HDMI connection, just not got round to it yet.
Doesn't look like it. All us WP users can be smug in the belief that we have a safe phone OS. Sadly, the truth is that we're an obscure minority who buy cheap phones. Not worth hacking as there's not enough of us and we can't afford a better phone, so nothing to steal.
Mine's a Nokia 520 in a nasty shade of red.
I'm self-employed. I normally work 3 or 4 days per week.
Having mobile email means my customers don't need to know, and they think I'm always available. Makes my life far more flexible. Also means I don't have to check email when I get home from a day-long meeting.
Bit crap if you're a wage slave though.
Don't you just love end-users who don't see how it all works!
"I have 2 computers at home and some ethernet cable. Therefore I'm an expert"
For the record, you can control iPads - as soon as you connect to email using ActiveSync, a bunch of security settings are forced upon you.
There's also software out there that allows you to control the iPad security settings. As far as I know, it just needs to integrate better with AD.
So, 2/3 of users installed an update that was automatically downloaded when they connected to Wifi/ Why is that impressive?
I'd like to go back to iOS6 - even with bold readable text, iOS7 is horrid.
Why does the keyboard keep changing between the old and the new? Looks like an OS cludge.
I've been working with Windows 8 for a few months now. Windows 8.1 on my laptop for the last month or so.
Yesterday, I had to work on a Windows 7 PC - the whole start button thing seemed very primitive.
Strange what you get used to.
Worth having the Start button again, just for using remote access - getting the menu up was a pain over a windowed RDP session.
I've had my Windows 8 phone for nearly 2 weeks. I like it, but can't believe it's taken Microsoft so long to get this far.
There seems to be so much really simple stuff missing, and no apps to add them, so I assume the API is quite limited - is it too much to ask for auto on/off & sound profiles?
Sad to hand back my Blackberry Bold today. Major problems with BESx with Exchange 2013, started due to being domain admin with email account (I know you're not supposed), took myself out of the group, but still failing for the one account. Tried using IMAP etc with BIS, but never seems to sync back to Outlook properly. I just don't have the time or skills to fix this.
I'd love to go for a Q10, but with O2 offering me a Nokia 520 at £60, how could I refuse? Got a red one, so hopefully my wife will like it too, then I can get rid of BESx once and for all.
I had an A4 sport back in the late 90s - great car. Looking for a new car recently (A3 size), just don't like the look of any current Audi - shame really.
Bought a A Class Merc in the end - very nice. Test drove the AMG version - wife wouldn't let me :(
Daftest extra it had was that every time you drove past a road sign, it displayed the sign on the dashboard - very distracting.
Took a tour of the phone shops at the weekend. I have 10+ years of email arranged in 1000s of folders.
IPhone/iPad can't cope as it truncates the folder names.
Windows didn't appear to work with folders properly.
Android, too many to be sure, but my Nexus 7 can't cope.
That left me with my old Blackberry 9700 doing a fine job.
Apart from email, Windows looked pretty good though, but I don't use more than email & geocaching.
