Sky rapped over PREMATURE SEXY CONDOM ad

I think there should be no taboo for advertising condoms. We've had too many years of denying sexuality. Enjoy it as a natural part of our existence and don't saddle young people with guilt, shame, and blame from the ignorance of the past.

When I look at our galaxy and realize there are billions more, it's hard for me to get self-absorbed with minor, daily problems. I feel very temporary and insignificant in the universe. I'm glad I've had the opportunity to understand a small part of it.

It's the blades not the razors. Gillette came up with the concept to give away the razors and make a killing on the blades. You give away the hardware and ride the gravy train selling the software. It's an old, old business model.

Winamp OK for me

I've used Winamp since 2000. I don't like Windows Media player because all I want to do is listen to my music files and adjust the equalizer. I don't care about album covers or info about the album. If I want info, I go to the web. I'll miss Winamp.

I guess the demise of magnetic drives is not as soon as I thought. I don't trust magnetic drives because of the enormous range of the MTBF rates. It's hard to get the real numbers from the manufacturers. That said, I've found that MTBF for SSDs may not be as lofty as we were led to believe. Speed it great, but reliability is more important. Backup of Backups is the only answer.

Personally, I'm skeptical about this new development . What happens if the seal is broken? Will the drive still perform? For most applications, 6TB is backup storage fodder where speed is less important than reliability.

Yawn, I'm impressed. Now, how about improving the heatsink'/fan attachment to a d..mn motherboard. After years of suffering the non-Intel-igent process of jamming plastic, push-pins into a motherboard to the point of warping it, I'm building a sane, AMD computers that cost less and has an easy heat/sink attachment. We have more than enough power with AMD or Intel. Now it comes down to convenience.
