Maybe not to the level of most of us reading tech news sites like this, but I'm sure she'll at least know how to switch on a PC and do a bit of casual web browsing in between her royal duties. Probably won't stretch to downloading torrents though!

The 1996 original design of the Ford Ka still looks like a heap of hideous fugly junk! Even about 2-3 years after it's been replaced with a better looking design, there are still way to many of the grotesquely awful original Ford Ka's on UK roads.

Freeview is still a free part of DTT.
Nope ... the Trade Descriptions Act is not being infringed at all.
Freeview (and Freeview HD) are only part of the complete DTT offerings. DTT stands for "Digital Terrestrial Television" btw. DTT is the platform, upon which Freeview, Freeview HD and TopUp TV stands.
While there is still enough bandwidth available, any mixture of free and non-free services can exist on the DTT platform alongside each other.

Try SeaMonkey instead, under the hood it's almost exactly the same as Firefox, being built upon the Gecko engine and a XUL front end but on the surface, it's immune to third party toolbars.

Download any TV shows from torrents on to your PC, and you have pretty much full control over how long you can keep the files, regardless of the legality of doing so, at least until your hard drive is full or crashes.
Meanwhile, with recording TV shows on a Sky+ box, since Sky still have some level of control over their proprietary PVR system, what's to stop them suddenly moving the goalposts? With one over the air software update downloaded to your Sky+ box in the background or overnight, suddenly your Sky+ recordings can only be kept for a specific amount of time, say up to 30 days, or maybe less, before they're automatically deleted. They could even impose another restriction that prevents you from copying those recordings from your Sky+ to another device, be it a computer, a DVD recorder, or an old skool VCR.
There's a chance that all Sky+ boxes already have these restrictions built in, but not enabled by default. It'd only take one push of a button by someone at BSkyB HQ to enable these "features" . . .
It'd most certainly stir up a shitload of controversy, but I wouldn't put it past Murdoch's Money Vultures to pull a stunt like this.

As Steve72 said, you've clearly never used SeaMonkey. Although it's the same TYPE of
product as the old Netscape Communicator, an internet application suite, it uses the
same codebase as current or recent products from Mozilla, rather than the creaky
old Netscape 4.x codebase from the days of internet yore.
So instead of unnecessary criticisms, maybe you should actually try it first.

It's completely unusable. It doesn't even start up, but bombs out with a Visual C++ error!
I know it's a beta app, but even so, I'd expect something that actually runs. I'd have also
expected something a lot more stable from Mozilla, than this piece of useless junk.

Thankfully, they've retained the option to download standard WMV files,
within the "More Downloads" dropdown. Pity the hi-def downloads are

Someone needs to stop living in the past methinks. It's 2009 now, and most TV shows
are made in 16:9 widescreen format. 16:9 is the standard TV aspect ratio now, while
the old style 4:3 aspect ratio is becoming increasingly obsolete.
